El ganado bovino Criollo Argentino (BCA) es parte del patrimonio genético de América Latina. La zoometría estudia las formas de los animales mediante diferentes medidas corporales, que permiten cuantificar la conformación del animal y diferenciar biotipos o razas. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la longitud y ancho de cabeza y de oreja de vacas Criollas adultas con y sin cuernos. Estos conocimientos ayudarán a mejorar la precisión del patrón racial. Se utilizaron 36 animales adultos (5 años o más). Se tomaron medidas de ancho (AC) y largo de cabeza (LC), y de ancho (AO) y largo de oreja (LO). Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados utilizando Proc ANOVA (SAS) y el test de Duncan para comparar medias. No se detectaron diferencias significativas en las variables consideradas para vacas con y sin cuernos. Las medias generales fueron 15,8 cm para LO, 9,2 cm para AO con una relación AO/LO igual a 0,58 cm. Para LC la media general fue 47,6 cm y para AC fue 20.4. La relación LC/AC fue de 2.33 cm. Se obtuvo una descripción cuantitativa de la cabeza y orejas de vacas Criollas mochas y astadas, indicando que no existen diferencias entre ambos grupos.
